The ROC Race Series is a group of running events within Rutherford County held during a calendar year. To promote all the races as a unit and help each individual race; the ROC Race Series promotes the events as a series. Based on current conditions and safety protocols, it appears some events may actually have to be virtual for 2021. ROC will award points for actual races as per usual. Participants in virtual events will be given one point for participation.
Through the generosity of our four sponsors, we provide overall prizes at the end of the year for race series. To be eligible for the series prizes a runner must participate in at least half the events. Prizes in 2021 will be prorated based on the number of actual races that occur. With the current pandemic ongoing, many events this year may be different to comply with protocols and regulations. Please refer to this website for current conditions and registration information.
Each race is conducted on its own under their guidelines, direction and rules—ROC assumes no responsibility for individual races. Results are submitted and tabulated as soon as possible after each event and presented on the ROC Race Series site. Results and photos (as possible) will be posted to this site as soon as possible.

The top three overall finishers and masters winner are not included in the age group points.
We do NOT use the age group results from an individual race to issue our points. Raw results are used and then re-sorted to fit our criteria. Thus for some races there may be differences between age group awards and our points.
The age you are in the first race you run is the age group you will remain in for the series points. That age group may be different than the age group you get points in at an individual race is you changed groups in mid-year. For example, if you turned 30 in July, you will score points in the 30-34 group in indiviudal races, but still remain in the 25-29 age group for total series points.

Keep your maps in a plastic bag to protect them from the rain and know how to use them. GPS units are great, but they are not substitutes for knowing how to use a map and compass.
